About the project
Serving as a member of in-house project teams to bring in technical knowledge to DG1 and DG4 Divisions in supporting the implementation of AI/ digital transformation projects by bureaux/departments (B/Ds) and conducting small-scaled research, proofs of concept and implementation of AI applications to support DG1 and DG4 Divisions in providing advisory services to B/Ds for digital transformation.
Duties
(T26) (i) To research available AI tools/ solutions/ applications (ii) To assist in evaluating and advising on AI solution options in terms of operational requirements and technical feasibility (iii) To assist in collecting and analysing user requirements and reviewing functional/ technical specifications for alignment (iv) To comment on the technical side during AI/ digital transformation project implementation, such as operating system, data communication, database, application software and languages (v) To participate in user acceptance tests and follow up with the engaged contractor(s) and DA and DI Branches of DPO to improve AI solutions (vi) To deliver suitable AI applications to support the work of DG1 and DG4 Divisions, including setup and monitoring of related server/ cloud infrastructure (vii) To assist in IT-related procurement exercises as needed, such as preparing technical specifications based on service requirements (viii) To carry out AI application administration tasks such as user management, access control, security monitoring, and configuration management (ix) To observe IT-related regulations/ guidelines and prepare/ maintain/ review IT-related documentations (x) To undertake other IT-related duties as assigned by the supervisor
Other requirements
(i) Knowledge in implementing AI and digital transformation projects is required, including procurement of appropriate software and hardware as well as design and development, configuration and deployment of AI tool to meet operational needs (ii) Knowledge in setting up and monitoring server/ cloud infrastructure is required (iii) Working experience in user liaison and coordination is required, including communicating with business users, IT teams and contractors, organising user acceptance tests and demonstrations, consolidating user feedback and following up on agreed actions (iv) Project management experience or certification is most welcome
