About the project

To manage IT projects and provide system support services.

Duties

(T26) The candidate will be mainly responsible for: (a) managing infrastructure including virtualisation, containerisation, Microsoft Windows server, Linux operating systems, database systems, and other common applications for office environment; (b) providing helpdesk and hotline support; (c) providing technical advices to support business requirements; (d) engaging and collaborating with stakeholders to meet the business objectives; and (e) carrying out other technical and administrative duties as specified by the management.

Other requirements

(a) Candidates should have at least four (4) years of relevant post-qualification full-time IT working experience, of which two (2) years must be in a similar post and in a comparable capacity. (b) Candidates should be customer-oriented and able to perform under pressure, willing to work after office hours and occasionally working on an on-call basis as required. (c) Candidates should have experience in the following technologies / products: (i) Virtualisation such as VMware vCenter, vSphere with High Availability, Microsoft Hyper-V; (ii) Containerisation such as Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, etc.; (iii) Microsoft Windows Server with Active Directory (AD), Group Policy, File Server cluster and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS); (iv) Linux operating systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.; and (v) Database systems such as MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB,, etc.. (d) Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in using the following technologies / products: (i) Web application servers such as Apache Tomcat, etc.; (ii) Web servers such as Apache HTTP Server, Microsoft Internet Information Services, NGINX, etc.; (iii) IP telephony system; and (iv) Distributed file/storage system such as Ceph, etc.. (e) Preference will be given to candidates who are holders of the following certificates or equivalent: (i) VMware Certified Professional &;#8211; VMware vSphere/Cloud Foundation Administrator; (ii) Red Hat Certified System Administration (RHCSA) (iii) Windows Server Administrator Associate; (iv) MySQL 8.0 Database Administrator; (v) MariaDB Certified Database Administrator Associate; and (vi) Mongo Certified Associate Database Administrator. Criminal record check on the selected candidate will be required.
