About the project

1. Responsible for system maintenance and operation support for multiple systems related to Gas Safety Ordinance, Voluntary Registration Scheme for Vehicle Mechanics and Voluntary Registration Scheme for Vehicle Maintenance Workshops, including front-line support, system and server monitoring, case study, bug fixing and application deployment and server patching; 2. Taking part to serve system users including internal, external and public parties, and to contribute along all related activities including feasibility study, systems analysis and design, procurement, programming, installation, system testing, security review / audit, user acceptance and deployments; 3. Planning for on-going system enhancements or upgrade 4. Assisting ITDSD in project co-ordinations, vendor management and project management work.

Duties

(T26) A. To supervise the team and ensure smooth operation with systems being maintained including responsiveness to support issues, stability of systems and up-to-date documentation; B. To manage enhancement and technical migration projects &;#8211; including project planning, tendering, vendor management, contract administration, stakeholder management and quality management. C. To facilitate the elicitation and analysis of requirements, review systems design, and review the deliverables of vendor; D. To monitor performance of vendors and ensure deliverables completion on-time and complies with respective standards; and E. To provide application and operation support services such as liaison with users and vendors, monitoring, repairing, recovering application systems, generating management and operation reports, training and helpdesk support to EMSD and public users;

Other requirements

i) Degree or Higher diploma in computer subjects or related disciplines ii) have at least seven (7) years' post-qualification information technology experience of which three (3) years of experience as a Systems Analyst and at least two (2) years must be in a similar post and in a comparable capacity. iii) Experience in Government projects and familiar with Government standards preferred. iv) Solid experience with Docker, Openshift, or container equivalent platforms. v) Solid experience in infrastructure setup, systems monitoring, and technical support vi) Solid experience in system implementation, application support vii) Solid working experience on HKSARG projects and Government IT Standards viii) Knowledge and solid experience in the application development or system maintenance involving Web Services, RESTful APIs, SQL Server, Cloud service. ix) Strong commitment to project deadline and delivering high quality work x) Creative, analytical, self-initiated, responsible and well-organized xi) Written test will be arranged during selection interview
